O Audio no longer offers TC Sounds drivers. This page is offered as a design reference for our customers.
Traits of the TC Sounds TC2+ family of subwoofer drivers:
- Powerful, precise, linear bass
- Stiff, concave aluminum cone
- Substantial high excursion linear motor structure with copper shorting rings (to reduce distortion)
- Voice coil leads are interwoven into the spider to eliminate "lead slap" during extreme excursions
- Convenient spring loaded gold plated terminals.
- Open four-spoke die cast aluminum basket with mounting gasket
- Rugged construction throughout

All T/S parameters were measured with the full version of PRAXIS under the following conditions:
- -2.85V across the voice coil
-Using a 1 second chirp stimulus from 10Hz to 20kHz
-5 Ohm series resistor
-PRAXIS uses the added mass Vas measurement method. For Vas measurements, 104 grams of added mass was used
for the TC2+ 10” and TC2+ 12” drivers and 208 grams of added mass was used for the TC2+ 15” driver. In response to
numerous questions, no, you do not need to add any mass to the driver for normal operation or if you decide to
measure Vas using a different method.
